A superb specimen of Gemmy Rhodonite Crystals in Galena. A cluster of chunky, red translucent crystals on matrix. This specimen in particular shows amazing crystal colour and shape and will make a worthy addition to any collection. Two main crystals one atop the other nested in Truncated Galena from Broken Hill.

Named in 1819 by Christoph Friedrich Jasche from the Greek rhodos or “rose”, referring to its colour.
Galena: PbS
Galena is the primary ore mineral of lead. Worked for its lead content as early as 3000 BC, it is found in ore veins with sphalerite, pyrite, chalcopyrite, tennantite-tetrahedrite, etc. and in skarns, as well as in sedimentary rocks where it may replace carbonate beds or be deposited in pore spaces.

CLEONICERAS AMMONITE FOSSIL 2
A top quality Cleoniceras Ammonite Fossil 2 Pair. Sliced and highly polished to perfectly display the amazing chambers inside. Pictures speak louder than words here – so check them out! Prominent display of Dendritic Calcification Formations. An especially collectable example of this fossil. An amazing artifact and a example of the Fibonacci sequence. Also from the center out, the spiral increases approximately at the ratio of Phi or the golden section, 1.618.  The distance of the planets from the Sun average the Phi Ratio. This number is also related to Pi as well as the Fibonacci Sequence. This Phi Ratio is used by nearly all religions and cults and is a big part of Sacred Geometry. My own note here it is a representation of stability in a control loop system graphically represented on Bode Plot. A super and ancient gift for the natural history enthusiast. These Cleoniceras Ammonites are from the middle of the Cretaceous period which was between 145.5 and 65.5 million years ago!
But wait, yes there’s more. A free set of clear perspex stands come with these for enhanced display. These would make a stunning gift – if not for someone else perhaps yourself.

A stunning specimen of Willemite Fluorescent Slab 07 showing off the brightest fluorescence of all natural minerals Willemite. This rare special specimen is short and long wave fluorescent.  The dark grey metal shown in the natural light photos is Zinc ore Franklinite. The white mineral is Mangano Calcite, shows as Pink with UVA Long Wave and Orange with UVC Short Wave. The Willemite is Bright Mesmerising Green under both fluorescent wave lengths. Pics taken with shortwave, longwave, and sunlight. Very cool stuff and this is one of my very favorite rocks. This is a small high quality specimen with bright fluorescence at a bargain price. The Slab is intended as a specimen and may have natural fractures which may not make it suitable for Lapidary work.
To view this spectacular specimen’s fluorescent colours you will need a UVC Shortwave Lamp and UVA Longwave Lamp. Make sure you wear safety glasses. Willemite Franklinite Calcite is also known as the Christmas Tree Rock for the colours Green and Red. This is a quality collectable specimen with wow factor.

A great specimen of Elbaite Cleavelandite to add to your collection. Elbaite is a form of bi colour Tourmaline. Really nice termination. Cleavelandite is the white matrix a variety of Albite. Pics clearly show defined bands – clear to light green to dark green. Perched on a clear plastic pad for enhanced display.

TABULAR CALCITE
A striking specimen of Tabular Calcite Crystals.  This is a fine cluster showing one of the less usual formations that calcite appears in. A large 6.2cm Tabular Calcite Crystal dominates the center of this hand sized specimen. The main crystal is surrounded by more than a dozen smaller crystals on a matrix of Galena and some associated sparkling minerals. Aesthetic, collectable and hard to find in nice clean clusters like this. Calcite comes in an incredible range of crystal formations and colours. This specimen will be a great addition to any mineral or crystal collection. Particularly for the collector interested in crystal form and minerals with many variations. This specimen is from very old stock and the best of a bunch.

CARROLLITE
A top rare Carrollite metal specimen to add to your collection. Stunning bright crystal surfaces with sharp edges. Great size on a Calcite matrix with associated mineral like golden and rainbow Chalcopyrite and others. A well formed large, Octahedral Carrollite crystal is perched prominently on the matrix of this specimen. Check out the video of this specimen on this page.

D.R. Congo, Africa.Carrollite was discovered in Carroll County, Maryland, and recognized as a mineral species in 1852. It is named for Carroll County. Carrollite is collected for its mineralogical rarity, rarity of sizeable crystals, unusual chemical composition as one of the relatively few cobalt-bearing minerals, high degree of cubic-crystal development, and associations in composite specimens with such minerals as quartz and calcite.

TOP BOULDER OPAL ROUGH PARCEL
Check out this outstanding Top Boulder Opal Rough Parcel. An extra quality parcel of beautiful rough Boulder Opal. These are the best specimens out of several lots bought in person directly from the dude that mined it! Unusual and vibrant aqua colouring is a feature of this lot, along with blue, green sparkles and other flashes of colour. Some pieces show the veining which is an attractive feature also. Each piece has been cut to its best potential ready for jewellery or perfect as a mineral specimen in your Aussie collection. I feel like this one is a parcel I’ll regret selling, but that’s the way it goes in the rock trade. I love opal in the rough and this is a special little parcel on offer. Most photos taken wet, none do justice to this lot, which looks better in person. Boulder Opal is found only in Australia, making it rare gem indeed. Enjoy!

An awesome Large Cleoniceras Ammonite Pair. Sliced and polished to perfectly display the amazing chambers inside. The pics show some well formed calcification, crystalised pockets and dendritic formation when the sun or a torch is shone through. There is a reasonable show of irredecnce on the outside faces, hmm pretty cool specimens of high quality. This is a natural prehistoric fossil specimen, they never cease to amaze me. An amazing artifact and a close example of the Fibonacci sequence. A super and ancient gift for the natural history enthusiast. These Cleoniceras Ammonites are from the middle of the Cretaceous period which was between 145.5 and 65.5 million years ago!

TABULAR AQUAMARINE CRYSTALS
