I can see bits of Shell and other creatures forming part of a Seabed of long ago. A great piece of study rock with a magnifying glass and good light.

Baculites, genus of extinct Cephalopods (animals related to the modern squid, octopus, and nautilus) found as fossils in Late Cretaceous marine rocks (formed from 99.6 million to 65.5 million years ago). One pic with long wave UV light shows some fluorescence. This specimen has been mounted on a perspex pad for enhanced display. You can see calcified dendritic formations clearly.

FOSSIL SPERM WHALE TOOTH
This Large Fossil Sperm Whale Tooth will make a great addition to your Fossil collection. A Sperm Whale Tooth from the Gulf of Mexico where many fossils come from especially teeth. These are almost as rare as Hens teeth. The condition is complete tip to root. There has been no repair or restoration.

Named Odontocete, toothed whale from the Miocene Period. This whale would have shared the same waters and time period as many of the dangerous sharks found off the East Coast of North America during the Miocene, like the infamous Megalodon Shark. Odontocete teeth were bigger than the Tyrannosaurus Rex Dinosaur teeth and would have eaten other Whales and Sharks. They grew to 18 meters long and weighed 40 tonnes.

They seem to have been of denser bone than the rest of the whale skeleton, so they were better preserved. The auditory bulla is a bony cover for the delicate middle ear bones and tissues. In humans it is part of our temporal bone. Whales have several adaptations in their ears for hearing underwater. Tympanic bone.

SMALL AMMONITE PAIR
Small Ammonite Pair, beautifully polished. Featuring great markings and some iridescence on the outside. Parts of the fossil have started to turn to calcite. This is a small, natural fossil specimen. An amazing artifact and a natural example of the Fibonacci sequence. Also from the center out, the spiral increases at the ratio of Phi or the golden section, 1.618. The distance of the planets from the Sun average the Phi Ratio. This number is also related to Pi and the Fibonacci Sequence. This Phi Ratio is used by nearly all religions and cults and is a big part of Sacred Geometry. A super and ancient gift for the natural history enthusiast. Ammonites are at least 60 million years old!
